Newcastle Marsanne Viognier Roussanne 2015
Tasting Notes

The Newcastle name shows strong attachments to both the Barossa and this wine blend. One of the father figures of the Barossa Valley, George Fife Angas, originated from the city of Newcastle in England. Furthermore, the "New"-"Castle" in French translates to "Chateauneuf", a tribute to the great white blends from the south of France.

This synergistic trio seamlessly combine the beauty, charm and joy only acheivable in a three-way blend where the Marsanne brings elegance and texture, the Viognier finesse and flavour and the Roussanne the grace and structure.

Winemaking

The grapes were picked early to retain their freshness and fermented separately in stainless steel vats with a small portion of each variety both barrel and wild fermented followed by nine months' maturation on lees.

Marsanne 50%, Viognier 36%, Roussanne 14%

$24.00 per bottle
