Direct Sales and Marketing Manager

Mitchell is a passionate wine professional with specialist experience in direct sales and marketing channels. 

Hailing from Terrigal on the Central Coast of New South Wales, he studied a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts with specialisation in Financial Management and European Languages, sharing time between Newcastle (Australia), Berlin (Germany) and Besancon (France). 

After completing studies, he spent years honing his business and sales skills as a Business English Trainer in Berlin, working with some of the top German companies. This time in Europe sparked a passion for wine and upon his return to Australia, ultimately launched him into completing a Diploma in Viticulture/Winemaking. He completed these studies parallel to a role as Cellar Door and Wine Club manager for the Davis Premium Vineyards, a 5 star vineyard in the Hunter Valley, NSW. 

He has spent time travelling most major wine regions of Australia, France, USA, Italy, Spain and Germany and has a personal interest in all facets of wine and the global wine industry. 

To round of his wine business and sales experience, he has worked vintages for Mount Pleasant (Hunter Valley), Pepper Tree Wines (Hunter Valley) and Brand's Laira (Coonawarra), as well as vineyard operations in the Tallavera Grove Vineyard (Hunter Valley). 

In August 2015 he moved to the Barossa Valley with his young family to take up the role of Direct Sales and Marketing Manager for Chateau Tanunda and is responsible for the wine club, direct sales channels, direct marketing, functions and cellar door areas.
