National Sales and Key Account Manager

Ralph Chalmers was appointed as National Sales and Key Account Manager in November 2018; in this role Ralph leads the Australian trade sales of the business, including Key Accounts, National Retailers, Duty Free and Cruise. In addition to these responsibilities he also overseas our distribution partners Icon Beverages (ACT) and Crush Wine Distribution (Rest of Australia).

Ralph brings a depth of experience, a strong passion for wine and high level of professionalism to our National Sales. Starting out in the industry straight out of school and into working in bottle shops, he experienced all facets of customer facing roles giving him a thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by retailers today. After completing a Diploma of Wine Marketing at Adelaide University, Ralph then moved into sales roles for a number of reputed companies (Remy Cointreau, Beringer Blass Wine Estates, Fosters Australia and Taylors Wines) where he gained vast experience in creating a sales network and developing lasting relationships. He then stepped into Senior Management as National Sales Manager (Think Spirits, Eden Road Wines, Kollaras Trading Company and Delegat) which has built the real richness and whole rounded skills he brings to Chateau Tanunda.

 Ralph will be focused on harnessing the incredible story and vision that is Chateau Tanunda and is tasked on taking us to the next level in the Australian market.

Outside of work Ralph can be found enjoying the outdoors especially hiking rugged mountain paths, the occasional game of golf and quality time with family and friends.
