Château Tanunda has been awarded a massive 11 Gold Medals at the latest Berlin Wine Trophy 2019 winter tasting, continuing Château Tanunda’s legacy as the top Australian winery at this prestigious international wine show.

The 2019 winter tasting attracted the maximum 7000 entries, including 1426 wineries from 41 countries, placing the Berlin Wine Trophy up there as one of the largest and most competitive wine competitions in the world. The 200 expert judges tasted for over a week, awarding Gold Medals to less than 28% of entries, making our 11 Gold Medals from just 18 wines submitted a huge result for the company.

Château Tanunda has a long tradition of success at the Berlin Wine Trophy. We have been crowned the “Best Australian Producer” an astonishing 8 times in the past 9 years, winning 100s of Gold Medals over the years. Furthermore, this legacy looks likely to continue in 2019 withthese most recent 11 Gold Medals, combined with the 11 Gold Medals awarded in August 2018, putting Château Tanunda high in the mix again for the number one title when the Best Producer awards are announced in early May 2019.
