Standout new look for Grand Barossa range
Friday, 14 August 2020Iconic Barossa winery, Château Tanunda has announced a new look for their famous Grand Barossa wine as part of their 130th Anniversary celebrations in 2020.
Grand Barossa has a reputation as one of the most famous Barossa Shiraz wines worldwide. The newly released proprietary bottle has all the quality enhancements including an “Established in 1890” resin seal. The new look is a shelf standout and triggers the “touch and feel” consumer responses.
“This is the complete package for our 130th Anniversary. The feedback from our customers has been wow!” said Managing Director, Michelle Geber.
Grand Barossa debuted 25 years ago with an enviable track record that includes 20 gold medal winners over 12 consecutive vintages; Quality and consistency are the keys. The Château Tanunda philosophy is to create wines that reflect what the Barossa is famous for: generosity, full flavour, character, and delicious wines. This year, Château Tanunda was again named in the Top 20 Wineries in Australia with Huon Hooke’s Real Review. One of only two Barossa wineries to achieve Top 20 status, three years in a row.
Grand Barossa has a reputation for over-delivering in the $20-$30 RRP price point and is one of Barossa’s most famous accessible premium wines, both widely known in international markets and at home. It is a market leader in Switzerland, UK and Denmark. We’re bringing our success internationally, back to Australia with the first full release into Australian retail.
Shiraz sales in the $20-$29 segment have increased by 7% in the past 12 months (MAT March IRC) and continue to grow. The new bottle is available now in Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and retails for $26 per bottle.
Château Tanunda is Australian owned by the Geber family who have put their passion, heart and soul into breathing new life into this historic icon and its vineyards.
