Third Time's the Charm: Chateau Tanunda winery wins prestigious award!
Monday, 20 May 2013The top honour of Australian Wine Producer of the Year was taken out by the Château Tanunda this year at the Berlin Wine Trophy out of 150 Australian wineries.
This is the third time that the Château has achieved such success. The first time in 2010 and then again in 2011.
This year’s recently announced award, Australian Wine Producer of the Year, sees a winning streak unmatched by any other winery.
Another highlight was the 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz 2010 being awarded a Premium Gold Medal, Best Wine over €20 and Dry Red Wine of the Show award for the second year in a row (2009 vintage in 2012 and the 2010 vintage in 2013). Only nine premium gold are awarded out of 3780 wines submitted.
Château Tanunda is set for another fantastic year on the 2013 wine show circuit with seven medals already in the trophy cabinet from the prestigious Berlin Wine Trophy.
