We are looking for a Vintage Assistant Winemaker and a Vintage Cellar Hand to join our winery team for vintage 2017.

JOB DESCRIPTION

One of the oldest wineries in the Barossa Valley, Chateau Tanunda is looking for a Vintage Assistant Winemaker and a Vintage Cellar Hand to join our dedicated winemaking team. We are a 5 star rated winery producing premium red wines with small batch fermentation, using predominantly basket press and planning to do an expanded crush in 2017.

Commencing 1st February 2017, the position is casual over vintage. We are looking for people who are keen on getting their hands dirty, enjoy working with wine, have a good work ethic and attention to detail. Applicants should be physically fit and prepared to work extended hours and possibly shift work. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Vintage Assistant Winemaker needs to oversee fermentation management, barrel operations and analysis via OenoFoss. 

The Cellar Hand needs to be able to comfortably operate our Basket Press as well as being a skilled forklift driver. 

Previous experience with cellar work is ideal. A current Australian High Risk (Fork Lift) licence is also favoured.
