Chorus Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre
Tasting Notes

Château Tanunda Chorus GSM has lifted aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry area accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits and white pepper on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from two years' maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Although drinking well now the wine will benefit from medium-term cellaring.

That is FANTASTIC! Thick with flavour yet free flowing and supple. White pepper, raspberry, black cherry, ironstone. Contemporary crunch and vitality, with savoury drive and length to spare. A ripping wine.

Grenache and mataro are quintessential late ripening Mediterranean varieties, physiologically destined to arrive with some heady warmth up their sleeves. This is something winemakers in Australia, picking abnormally early to retain acidity with these grapes, fail to comprehend. These synergise with shiraz to complete a poised, ripe, intensely cherry flavoured (yet far from sweet) whole. It all clocks in it a reasonable 14% alcohol. Drink By:2022
