'Chorus' Tempranillo Garnacha Graciano
Tasting Notes

Lifted aromas of cherry and raspberry are accompanied by spicy, dark berry and forest fruits on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels.

Winemaking

For this year’s blend we selected grapes grown in the Barossa sub regions of Tanunda on the Valley Floor (Tempranillo), Seppeltsfield on the Western Ridge(Garnacha) and Koonunga, Northern Barossa (Graciano). It is this tapestry of “terroirs” which enables us to recreate a classic Spanish blend with a unique Barossa twist.

These varietals were picked as individual parcels and blended after barrel maturation. The grapes were destemmed but not crushed in open fermenters to gently extract colour, flavour and tannin. Hand-plunging prior to careful basket-pressing have made a full-bodied wine.

A pleasant lighter weighted wine with the raspberry acidity of tempranillo guiding this plus flavours of cherry and pips with musk, charry oak with wood spices and grainy tannins. Overall, with the price in mind, it's in a good spot.
