Grand Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2016
Tasting Notes

Lifted aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry are accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits and white pepper on the palate. The finish is long with fine grained tannins from maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French and American barrels. Enjoy now or cellar carefully for up to eight years from vintage.

Winemaking

For our Grand Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre we select grapes grown throughout the Barossa. It is this tapestry of ‘terroirs’ which enables us to create this classic blend in our refined house style. By combining  both traditional and modern winemaking techniques we are able to make handcrafted wines of complexity, depth and intensity.

Spent 18 months in a mix of new and used oak. A full-bodied blend with multiple dark fruit flavours (berry to cherry) and an unexpected flash of white pepper. Drink by 2026

Sweetly fruited and beautifully fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows raspberry, dark plum, violet, thyme and toasted nut characters, followed by a succulent palate that is plump and juicy. It is immediately appealing with fabulous fruit flavours and elegant complexity. At its best: now to 2024.
