Grand Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2018
Tasting Notes

Lifted aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry are accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits and white pepper on the palate.

The finish is long with fine grained tannins from maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French and American barrels. Enjoy now or cellar carefully for up to eight years from vintage.

Winemaking

For our Grand Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre we select grapes grown throughout the Barossa. It is this tapestry of ‘terroirs’ which enables us to create this classic blend in our refined house style.

By combining  both traditional and modern winemaking techniques we are able to make handcrafted wines of complexity, depth and intensity.

Soothing, comforting and delicious, the wine shows sweet plum, raspberry, hazelnut and mixed spice notes on the nose. It’s succulent and beautifully rounded on the palate, displaying expansive mouthfeel and flowing texture, leading to a lengthy velvety finish. At its best: now to 2026.

A 67/22/11% blend, matured for 18 months in new and used French oak. Partial whole bunch fermentation for the grenache, all the components vinified in small batches. Rich, full-flavoured, but not overdone. Good value. Drink by 2028
