Great purples/ violet colour. Very perfumed, violet, bright fruit blue and black fruits with a mild briary element and silky tannins. The palate has good brightness and flesh and structure. Soft and plush mid palate that makes a great stand-alone wine.
The Cowra wine region was first planted with vines in 1973. By the Lachlan River in central Western N.S.W (four hours’ drive from Sydney), basalt and alluvial loam soils are enriched with minerals from the decaying granite. The well-draining soils, combined with a perfect climate of abundant sunshine, long warm days together with cool nights and pure fresh water from the Lachlan River, produce wine with intense flavour and long length.
It’s a higher altitude cooler climate region with unique terroirs of granite loam that leads to distinct and vibrant character – the wine is outstanding and delicious.
