Tasting Notes
This elegant Shiraz has great depth of flavour, is rich and long lingering on the palate. The colour is an intense black red. It displays strong plum, forest berry, earth and leather aromas.

The Chateau Shiraz has a focus of aniseed and chocolate oak. Rich, ripe fruit and long full and lingering soft tannins are the primary features of the wine.

The Chateau Shiraz 2005 Similar, but less sweet/opulent fruit than the 100 Year Old Shiraz, allows tannins to provide better balance, albeit with a fairly soft landing. Cork 14.5° alc. RATING 87 DRINK 2015 DATE TASTED Mar 08

It is an elegant wine..
Review by: Michael Southern, Pittwater Life
It is an elegant wine, with intense fruit, earthy, and with leathery aromas, and the current, 2005 vintage will be really good in about five years time.
Trophy - Shiraz/Syrah
Review by: 2010 - International Wine and Spirit Competition
Dark intense red colour to rim. Fantastic nose, framboise, madagascar spices, cherries in chocolate, liquorice, dried herb and vanilla. In the mouth this has a suppleness that invades every corner of the palate bringing layers of textures and flavours which combine and change repeatedly. This enormous complexity is delivered with proud elegance and style. This is beautiful precision winemaking which allows the wine to do the talking. Amazing stuff.
